Sound designer and audio engineer Erich Netherton has been with Company 3 Sound in Atlanta (and the company’s predecessors) for more than 10 years. He brings a unique talent and refined ear to his audio work on commercials, features, corporate videos, and video games, including (through Company 3 Games) Activision’s hugely successful Call of Duty – Black Ops 2. An accomplished dialogue editor, musician, and Foley artist, Netherton offers each client more than just sound design and engineering; he can provide a comprehensive audio strategy for every project.
Born in Nashville and raised in Atlanta, Netherton started out as a musician and composer in his youth but it was while earning his degree at Full Sail University in Florida that he fell in love with the endless creative possibilities available to sound designers. He started his career at Pacific Ocean Post Sound in the LOS ANGELESarea, where he worked his way up to assistant engineer and occasional mixer. After three years there, Netherton was drawn back home to Atlanta, where he can do the work he loves while remaining close to family and lifelong friends. Netherton has completed many award-winning projects, and received an AAF-Addy for his work on The Weather Channel’s Weather Proof.
