Gina Kalim is a Finishing Editor skilled in Blackmagic Design Resolve and Autodesk Flame. She has applied her skills to a wide variety of feature films and episodic TV shows, including Hulu’s true-crime thriller series The Boston Strangler, Netflix’s biographical drama Blonde, and Netflix’s highly praised love story Maestro, directed, co-written, and produced by Bradley Cooper.
Kalim started at Company 3 in 2013 as a dailies assistant and eventually moved to assisting Senior Colorist Tim Masick. Her career then segued into editorial and conforming in 2017, which she was particularly fond of because it’s so much about “putting all the pieces together.” Kalim enjoys each new project’s unique challenges, including paint-outs, stabilizing footage, and split screens.
Kalim grew up in the Orlando area, and her fascination with the art of filmmaking dates back to her earliest memories. She honed her skills and knowledge by earning a degree in Motion Picture Science from the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology. This academic foundation, coupled with her practical experience at the Eastman Kodak Company and Company 3, has significantly contributed to her expertise and dedication to the industry.
