Josh Perault is a highly in-demand Finishing Editor whose work can be seen on a large and diverse list of major projects, including the long-running CBS crime drama Blue Bloods, Paramount Pictures’ thrilling A Quiet Place: Day One, and Sony Pictures’ Columbia Pictures’ unusual take on the superhero genre Madame Web. He has been with Company 3 New York since joining in 2011 (then known as Deluxe) and learned the unique combination of art and science of the job from some of the company’s most experienced finishing editors.

Perault grew up on Long Island and worked several seemingly unrelated jobs — manager of a movie theater, Geek Squad repair person — before earning his college degree at Long Island’s Dowling College, first studying computer science and then segueing into film and TV. However, this combination of skill and experience he attained laid a firm foundation for Perault to start his career in post-production and helping the company develop and launch its nascent data department before he eventually moved into the editorial field. As a Finishing Editor, Perault’s standout quality is his ability to quickly break down a problem and find a solution. He frequently uses his coding and scripting knowledge to increase efficiency in the editorial process, instilling confidence in his colleagues and clients.
