Colorist

Jake White

Based at Company 3 New York. Available virtually through any Company 3 Virtual Outpost.

Jake White started at Company 3 in 2016 as a client services representative before quickly moving into the feature color department and becoming Senior Colorist Tom Poole’s lead assistant. After soaking up a great deal about color from Poole and other colorists at the company, he moved into a Dailies and Jr. Colorist role, coloring dailies for films including Paramount Pictures’ apocalyptic horror film A Quiet Place: Day One and Netflix’s upcoming sports drama film Rez Ball.

Concurrently, White has worked as an additional colorist under Poole on Euphoria Season 2. He was the lead colorist on various projects, including Netflix’s biographical drama Blonde, Disney Channel’s The Slumber Party, Bleachers’ music video “Tiny Moves,” and the short film “Poof,” which competed at Cannes in 2023. White recently provided the finishing color on the indie feature Memes & Nightmares, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2024.

Originally from Connecticut, White became interested in film from an early age. He later studied film production at Emerson College in Boston, focusing his studies on cinematography while delving into still photography. After graduating, he joined Company 3 with the hope that he would build a career in the film industry and work closely with filmmakers crafting images, precisely what he’s been able to do. Through his color grading work and his continued devotion to still photography in his off hours, White has continued to build on his technical skills as a colorist and develop unique looks that speak to his taste.
