Billy Landry joined Company 3 in 2018 as a Short-Form Color Assistant, working alongside experienced colorists on various projects, including music videos, commercials, and short films. Highlights include Thirty Seconds to Mars’ ‘Stuck’ and Ryan Destiny’s ‘How Your Hands Feel.’

In 2020, he was promoted to Lead Assistant Colorist for the newly established Special Projects division. In this role, he oversaw and managed a team of color assistants on high-security projects, collaborating closely with senior colorists to further develop his technical and creative skills. During this time, Billy also began building his client base, laying the groundwork for his transition to becoming a full-fledged colorist.

Billy was born and raised in Katy, Texas, a suburb of Houston. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin. Color grading first sparked Billy’s interest during a high school film production course, and Billy has been pursuing it as an artistic endeavor ever since. His lifelong passion for film and technology was evident from a young age, as he enjoyed creating homemade movies and skate films with his friends, often experimenting with editing and online distribution.
