BIFA 2024: Spotlight on Company 3 Films

November 28, 2024 Nov. 28, 2024

The British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) continue to celebrate the artistry of independent filmmaking, and we are proud that two films graded at Company 3 are among the 29 British feature films nominated this year. With the Craft Awards winners announced recently, anticipation builds for the main ceremony on December 8th, 2024, set to take place at The Roundhouse in London—an exciting change after 14 years at Old Billingsgate.

Karan Kandhari’s debut feature, Sister Midnight, graded by Colorist James Slattery, has captured critical acclaim, earning nominations for the Douglas Hickox Award (Best Debut Director), Best Debut Screenwriter, Best Lead Performance (Radhika Apte), and Best Music Supervision. The film’s surreal narrative and vibrant visuals showcase the boldness of emerging talent in British cinema.

Lee has made a significant impact with three nominations. This biopic, graded by Senior Colorist Jean-Clément Soret with additional color by Senior Colorist Yoomin Lee, delves into the life of iconic war photographer Lee Miller, offering a powerful exploration of creativity and resilience.

As we count down to the BIFA ceremony in December, we extend our congratulations to all the nominees and look forward to celebrating their remarkable achievements.
