Senior Colorist Bill Ferwerda is a talented artist and highly collaborative partner with an extensive career in film, television, music video, and commercial post-production. He is recognized for his ability to enhance, manipulate, and push the boundaries of color grading to help create exceptional images. His credits span award-winning series and feature films, including The Handmaid’s Tale, Halo, and Silo; David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future and The Shrouds; and Ethan Hawke’s Wildcat and Blaze.

Born and raised in nearby London, Ontario, Ferwerda moved to Toronto to pursue his filmmaking interests and a career in post-production. He quickly became fascinated by the control a colorist could have on an image and was impressed with how creative, technical, and collaborative the process is. This keen interest remains evident as Ferwerda continues to pursue his passion for perfecting the art and technique of color grading.

Ferwerda has worked on multiple Emmy-, Cannes Lions-, and Clio Award-winning projects. His industry recognitions include two HPA nominations for Outstanding Color Grading, seven Bessie Gold Craft awards, two IMA finalist awards for Best Color Correction, and the prestigious Bob Mann Award for lifetime achievement and creative contribution to the post-production industry.
