Creative Director Jason Frank is known industry-wide for the speed and creativity he brings to his Flame finishing work on major commercials, music videos, and episodic television shows. A 23-year company veteran (formerly he held the same position at sister company Method Studios), he has overseen beauty (particularly for faces and cars), compositing and other finishing work on over 20 Super Bowl commercials, most recently the highly-praised T-Mobile comedy spot starring The Voice celebrity judges Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. He’s also handled a high-pressure workload of campaigns for clients such as Chevy, Kia and Toyota and he has applied his keen eye and technical expertise to major music videos for top acts including Beyoncé, U2 and Madonna. In addition, Frank leads Flame teams and serves as on-set supervisor on some jobs.
A lifelong resident of El Segundo, Frank graduated from Long Beach State University in Radio TV Film and went to work at a number of major LA-based post houses, including Encore, Todd-AO and Paskal Video, learning finishing techniques in Henry, Fire, and Smoke before Flame came on the scene and he mastered its intricacies. His early, pre-Method work can be seen on such iconic shows as The Sopranos and Deadwood.
