Based at Company 3 New York. Available virtually through any Company 3 Virtual Outpost.
Finishing Editor Nicholas Figueroa’s work can be seen on the award-winning Apple Original Film Killers of the Flower Moon, the riveting Netflix TV+ series, Ripley, Amazon MGM Studios Road House and HBO’s powerful miniseries I Know this Much is True, in which Mark Ruffalo portrays twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey. This project in particular presented the finishing editor a large number of challenges of the type he finds most rewarding — finetuning the literally hundreds of VFX shots in which both brothers share a frame. The “invisible” split screens, repos and cleanups presented exactly the type of precision finishing work that Figueroa loves.
Figueroa started at Company 3 in 2015 right out of college and quickly moved up from dailies technician to color assistant for many of the company’s top colorists before finally segueing into his current role. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Figueroa received his degree in music production from Ramapo College in Mahwah. He brings his significant knowledge in digital media and the color grading process to every job and knows the best routes to simplify the process for clients, colorists and their teams.
