Starring Yifei Liu as the title character — a young girl in Old World China who must use her fighting skills and imagination to take on brutal opponents and save her father — the film is a sweeping epic, a powerful personal story, and wonderful entertainment for the whole family.

The culmination of years of work by director Niki Caro, cinematographer Mandy Walker, ASC, ACS, production designer Grant Major and a cast that includes international stars Jet Li and Jason Scott Lee, Mulan offers an intense story with stunning imagery.

Company 3’s Natasha Leonnet says of the project, “It’s a colorist’s dream!” The story itself was also an inspiration for Leonnet, as will undoubtedly be for many others. “It’s feminist in the sense that it really explores the idea of the value of a girl,” says Leonnet, adding that the film is in no way for girls exclusively. “It’s such a powerful story and such excellent filmmaking that I expect it to resonate with people of all ages.”
