Company 3 Colorists Score with 35 Big Game Spots
February 6, 2018 Feb. 6, 2018Company 3 colorists across our Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago offices provided color grading for a total of 35 spots showing during this year’s Super Bowl LII broadcast, including 4 out of Adweek’s top 5 ads of the game, and 7 out of the top 10 spots on USA Today’s Ad Meter.
Tom Poole colored a wide variety of spots for the big game, including the Dirty Dancing-inspired promo for the NFL starring Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr., and fan-favorite Tide campaign starring David Harbour. Poole also colored spots for Australian Tourism starring Chris Hemsworth and Danny McBride; Pepsi starring Cindy Crawford; Telemundo and FIFA; and five NBC promos for the Winter Olympics profiling Shaun White, Chloe Kim, Lindsey Vonn, Nathan Chen, and Mikaela Shiffrin.
Stefan Sonnenfeld colored Budweiser’s disaster recovery spot, plus the Vikings spot for Dodge RAM, two spots for Jeep including one Jurassic Park-inspired spot with Jeff Goldblum, the launch spot for Blacture, and a regional spot for Shiner Beer shown in Texas.
Tim Masick colored Bud Light’s two Dilly Dilly spots, as well as memorable spots for E-Trade, M&Ms starring Danny DeVito, Mucinex, and Persil.
Additionally, Jaime O’Bradovich colored a Budweiser spot starring the classic Clydesdales and an NFL promo starring Cam Newton and Jared Goff; Dave Hussey colored the celeb showdown for Doritos and Mountain Dew starring Peter Dinklage, Busta Rhymes, Morgan Freeman, and Missy Elliot; Bryan Smaller colored a spot for Universal Parks & Resorts starring Peyton Manning; Sofie Borup colored a spot for Pizza Hut starring Terrell Owens and a heartwarming spot for Mass Mutual; Sean Coleman colored spots for Hyundai and for Jack in the Box featuring a showdown between Jack and Martha Stewart; and Tyler Roth colored regional spots for Modelo and Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance as well as Skittles’ Facebook broadcast.
We were also excited to see promos for upcoming films and TV shows being colored here at Company 3, including new Amazon series “Jack Ryan,” and films “A Quiet Place,” “The Cloverfield Paradox,” and “Skyscraper.” All of these projects and their Super Bowl promos were colored by Stefan Sonnenfeld.
