This series brings together industry leaders and creators to discuss their craft, delve into behind-the-scenes insights, and share their perspectives on the future of filmmaking and storytelling.

Sonnenfeld, known for his exceptional work with A-list directors like Tony Scott, Ridley Scott, and Martin Scorsese, has left an unforgettable mark on blockbuster films such as Top Gun: Maverick, The White Lotus, and The Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3. His expertise also extends across major franchises including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

In this exclusive interview with Glenn Kiser, Director of the Dolby Institute, Sonnenfeld discusses what it’s like to collaborate closely with top talent in Hollywood as a colorist. He emphasizes, “It’s a team sport. Everybody plays a part in it. And it’s why it’s so enjoyable for me. You have to involve a lot of people, but in general, the director, let’s say that’s the main person. You have to have a good relationship with that person, and you have to be able to interpret what they’re saying and get that onto the screen.”
