Directed by Darren Aronofsky and shot by frequent collaborator Matthew Libatique, the powerful feature, mother! opened to passionate responses and a slew of multiple interpretations last week, but those who know the filmmakers’ previous work, such as The Black Swan, and Requiem for a Dream, knew before seeing it, that they’d be in for an unusual experience.

EFilm colorist Tim Stipan, who graded the film at Company 3’s New York facility, worked with Aronofsky and Libatique, as he did previously with the duo on Black Swan and Noah, to fine-tune and finish their unique cinematic vision. For more on the filmmakers’ approach, check this out.
