Company 3 Colors Five Oscar Nominated Films

The Academy has unveiled its shortlist of nominees honoring films released in 2024. Comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang announced this year’s nominees live from the Film Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Since 1929, the Oscars have recognized excellence in cinematic achievements, and Company 3 celebrates collaborating on five movies nominated for this year’s Oscars.

Leading the nominations is the hit musical Wicked, colored by Senior Colorist Jill Bogdanowicz, with 10 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, and seven other categories. The Wild Robot, color-graded by Jason Hanel, secured three nominations, including Best Animated Feature Film. The Apprentice, graded by Tyler Roth, earned two nominations, highlighting its captivating narrative.

Company 3 also contributed to Gladiator II, color graded by Stephen Nakamura, which earned a nomination for Best Costume Design, and Alien: Romulus, recognized for Best Visual Effects.

The 97th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will air live coast-to-coast on Sunday, March 2, from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
