Nurturing the Next Generation of Talent: A Recap of Our Summer Internship Program

September 25, 2024 Sep. 25, 2024

At Company 3, we’re passionate about fostering the next generation of creative talent. That’s why we launched our annual summer internship program last year as part of our larger Nurturing Exceptional Talent (NExT) Pipeline Program. This program provides post-secondary students and recent graduates with an immersive experience in the postproduction world, offering invaluable insights into our family of brands across North America.

Our interns are exposed to hands-on industry experience and participate in a comprehensive curriculum that broadens their understanding of industry standards and equips them with essential workplace skills.

This summer, we welcomed talented interns representing various disciplines, including sound, color, finishing, and VFX. Their enthusiasm and dedication were inspiring, and we were impressed by their ability to adapt quickly to the fast-paced environment of postproduction

One of the interns, Grace LaPrease, at Company 3 Los Angeles, shared, “Meeting and working alongside industry legends like Jill Bogdanowicz and Jason Hanel was a career highlight. The welcoming and supportive atmosphere at Company 3 made me feel right at home.”

Another intern, Chase Johnson, at Company New York, recalled the memorable team-building event, “The Color Assist Olympics,” which showcased the outstanding company culture. He also enjoyed participating in the CO3 New York Run Club, a great way to connect with colleagues outside the office.

Arina Glozman, a VFX Nuke Compositing Intern at Method LA, shared, “One of my favorite memories was overcoming the challenge of bluescreen and keying. My mentors’ support and encouragement helped me develop new solutions and methods of working. Seeing how much I had grown was a ‘wow’ moment.”

“Reflecting on the past ten weeks at Company 3 as a Postproduction Intern, I have nothing but good memories.” As Guadalupe Fernandez Perez, a Postproduction Intern at CO3 Los Angeles, shared, “It has been wonderful to surround myself with some of the industry’s most talented and kind people.”

Beyond technical skills, our interns also gained valuable insights into the importance of networking, adaptability, and attention to detail. They learned the value of a supportive work culture and the impact of hands-on experience.

Sapna Samuel, a VFX Nuke Compositing Intern at Method LA, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and grow her compositing skills. She also appreciated connecting with other interns who shared her passions and goals.

Sabrina Perez, a Postproduction Intern at Company 3 Atlanta, highlighted the supportive community there. She said, “They invested in me educationally and personally, and I’ve learned so much quickly. The connections and opportunities I’ve gained are priceless.”

As Irmak Akgur, a Postproduction Intern at Company 3 New York, put it, “One of the most cherished memories from my postproduction internship in New York has been the incredible people I had the privilege to work with at Company 3. Their support, expertise, and the camaraderie we built made the experience truly unforgettable.”

As we look ahead to the NExT Summer Internship Program in 2025, we are excited to continue nurturing the next generation of amazing talent.
