Company 3 at Whistler Film Festival 2024

January 7, 2025 Jan. 7, 2025

Company 3 continued its valued partnership with the Whistler Film Festival (WFF) in its 24th edition, held in the beautiful mountain resort town of Whistler, British Columbia. Recognized as a crucial platform for Canadian cinema, WFF showcased an impressive selection of feature films and shorts this past year. Notably, six projects from Company 3 were featured in their lineup.

Company 3 is not only focused on celebrating established creators but is also committed to supporting the next generation of storytellers. We are proud to have sponsored the Borsos and Power Pitch Competitions at WFF as part of our dedication to emerging talent. The winner of the prestigious Borsos Competition for Best Canadian Feature, J. Stevens, received a $20,000 post-production prize from Company 3 in recognition of their innovative and artistic merit for the film Really Happy Someday.

In the 2024 Power Pitch event, we saw incredible talent take the spotlight, with finalists pitching their projects to industry leaders. Congratulations to Milton Ng, who received a $25,000 post-production credit from Company 3 Vancouver for their film New Diamond Restaurant, awarded to the winner of the Power Pitch competition.

We’re also thrilled to celebrate Queen of the Underworld, which received recognition at this year’s festival. The film features a standout performance by Morgan Taylor Campbell and was beautifully brought to life with color grading by our Senior Colorist, Jimmy Hsu.

Partnering with the Whistler Film Festival allows us to help filmmakers realize their creative visions and connect audiences to bold, innovative storytelling. We look forward to another year of creativity, collaboration, and community at WFF! You can check out their full lineup here.
